This week, we explore Jesus’ parable of the use of talents-a huge quantity of money back in his day. Again, it is a call to use those things entrusted to us by God-our time, our talents, our treasures. At Hope, we recognize the gifts we have and those we don’t-and carefully and faithfully use those gifts to best of our ability. We maintain and update our property and building so that it can be a place for worship, for fellowship, for learning as well as a place of meeting for those in our community like homemakers, homeschoolers, property owners, and fishermen. We share our time in endeavors beyond our walls through the “Jesus Loves You” ministry and the Homeless Coalition. We open our doors to everyone, and we go out to meet and greet others in our community in Jesus’ name. We are working hard to carefully use the gifts God has entrusted to us to make a difference in Jesus’ name as together we serve God and share Christ’s love with all.
