Cans For Cows Program:
In 2013, through the Lutheran Church of Haiti, Hope Lutheran Church made a commitment of 25 dairy cattle to provide jobs, food and income for the people of the villages. At the beginning of 2014 through the collection and recycling of aluminum cans (anything aluminum) and many donations we reached our goal and the work of our Lord of $12,500.00 for the 25 cows.
CLEAN WATER FOR HAITI:
Also in mid 2014 again through the Lutheran Church of Haiti, Hope Lutheran Church made a commitment of 3 fresh water wells at $2,500.00 each to provide fresh drinking water, for God's children — our brothers and sisters the people of the 3 mission villages in Haiti. We again are using the recycling of aluminum cans (or anything aluminum) and donations to again reach our goal. As of December, 2015 we have completed a $7500 goal for 3 wells/water purification systems.
Your gift of aluminum cans have helped us reach our above goals. But we ask that you continue to collect cans and they can be dropped off at the side of the church where you see the aluminum can sign, outside the Fellowship Hall. It would be greatly appreciated if you could get your friends to help save up their cans, also. Thank you for your support as we share God's love in the form of clean water for those in need, and we will be praying on the next goals to be set in the near future!
